A Perfect Book

“Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add but when there is nothing left to take away.” Saint-Exupéry

With the limitation of creating a 28 page book about perfection, I focused on the notion of it meaning completeness and the idea of something reaching it’s finished state. I used the quote for the content of my book. The premise is that ‘perfection’ is reached when the quote runs correctly from page 1 and ends on page 28.

I believe perfection to be subjective, therefore the reader of the book is in control of the content. I didn’t want my intended outcome to be too obvious and I wanted there to be a chance for mistakes to be made, to represent the struggles that people face whilst desperately seeking perfection.

By adding extra words to the quote I was able to create a 42 page book. The content of which has to then be edited down to complete and correct it.

Format:
Interactive book exploring imperfections
