Each bottle of Maker's Mark Whisky is sealed by hand in red wax. To promote the brand, a series of artists and designers were asked to create an interactive installation with 50 kg of red wax. After looking into the brand's history I discovered that Kentucky is not only home to Maker's Mark but also the largest Red Maple tree in America. I recreated a scaled down version of a red maple tree in Road Trip Bar on Old Street last Monday evening, with the help of customers who were asked to mark the red wax leaves as they so pleased.
